AutoBody Beautiful has been providing family owned and managed collision repair services for the Beaverton community and the surrounding area since 1958.

Bill & Marge Bartel founded the original location as Beaverton Auto Rebuilders adjacent to the corner of Tualatin Valley Highway (Canyon Rd) and SW 141st Avenue in Beaverton, Oregon. In 1984 the Bartels sold the business to their daughter and her husband, Penny & Gil Messenger. In 1996, Gil & Penny expanded the business to their Sunset location adjacent to the intersection of Sunset Highway #26, and Murray Blvd.

In the later part of 2001, Gil & Penny changed the business name to AutoBody Beautiful as a Division of Beaverton Auto Rebuilders Inc. With the former name including "Beaverton" there was a conflict because the second location is actually located in Portland not Beaverton. The business name change was also desirable to help clarify what services we actually offered. With the former name including "Auto Rebuilders", there was confusion. We don't rebuild engines, carburetors, transmissions, totaled vehicles, etc. What we do is Auto Body repair and painting. And, the repairs do indeed look Beautiful!

With a combined floor space of 46,000 Square Feet, AutoBody Beautiful ended 2001 with 38 Employees.
