Rentals: |
When the other driver is at fault, Rentals are usually supplied at no
charge, but sometimes you need to ask the other driver's insurance for the
no charge rental.

Rentals: |
When the other driver is at fault, You may be eligible for a no charge
rental vehicle equivalent to your damaged vehicle. Such as SUV, Minivan,
Truck, Luxury car, etc. But you may need to ask the other driver's
insurance for it.

Rental Insurance: |
Your own vehicle insurance may cover you (for no extra charge) while you
are driving a replacement rental vehicle. You may not need to purchase any
of the "Add-On" rental insurance available from the rental company. Check
with your own insurance representative.

Vehicle Total / Extensive Damage: |
If the vehicle has been totaled by the insurance company, the vehicle
owner is greatly advantaged if they can do some homework before finalizing
the negotiations on the settlement value of their damaged vehicle. If the
vehicle owner can locate the prices of available comparable vehicles (year,
make, model, mileage, options, condition, etc.), those prices help establish
the value of the damaged vehicle. Only referencing the Blue Book Value (Kelly
or Nada) is typically not a valid value recognized by the insurance companies.
The best quality Comparable values are those obtained from dealerships, (call
or visit) if available. The secondary quality Comparable values are those
obtained from newspapers, Nickel Ads, etc. The negotiated settlement value
is usually totally independent of what replacement vehicle is purchased or
not purchased.
